Kylie Ryan, the founder of The Tough Stuff, has over 20 years’ experience working in both public and private sectors, specialising in mental health, sexuality and bullying and harassment prevention. Kylie presents on the tough stuff across New Zealand, approaching mental health and sexual health in a fun, simple way that people can use in everyday life.

Kylie manages to take tough conversations and use a mix of specialist knowledge and humour to engage her audiences and make them feel comfortable to challenge their own thinking and way of working. She looks forward to working with you, enabling you to deal with the tough conversations in your home and workplace.

With a clinical background in social work before moving into training and facilitation, Kylie specialises in prevention, programme development, training and evaluation in the following areas:

A qualified, experienced Auckland facilitator, Kylie Ryan worked as Wellbeing Advisor to The University of Auckland, and The Bank of New Zealand. Kylie has also worked within a number of New Zealand organisations, including NZ Police, DARE Foundation New Zealand, Auckland, Waitemata and Waikato District Health Board, and Rape Prevention Education.
